Karl Lear co-founded RedYeti Films in 2010. As a director, he considers himself lucky to have worked with some of the most talented people in the business.
Working on Ridley Scott’s ‘GLADIATOR’ and winning advertising awards with MINI and Movember, Karl has spent 20 years in the film and advertising industry, with 10 years as founder of a multi award-winning production house in the UK.
Winner of Best Digital Campaign as well as Best Feature Film in 2014 (Hawaii) and in 2013 (NZ) with ‘WAVERIDER’, Waverider was awarded Official Selection at 10 International Film Festivals, secured global distribution deals, is currently broadcast across international television networks and available on iTunes.
Karl is trustee and Media Director of the David James Foundation, supporting farming communities in Malawi.
